V3 stands for three verbs: veni, vidi, vici. I came, I saw, I conquered. Roman writers record that Julius Caesar used them to report his victory at Zela in 47 BCE. V3Tees is a small catalog of graphic shirts built on that sentence. The tagline is Wear the Legacy of Legends.

Each design starts from public-domain historical art: a statue, a mosaic, a history painting, a manuscript miniature, a traditional portrait, or a modern drawing in an older style. Where it fits, the three verbs are printed in the language of the figure. Latin, French, Greek, Japanese. The people on the shirts commanded armies in Europe, the Mediterranean, East Asia, and southern Africa. Huitzilopochtli, patron god of the Mexica, is the exception: a god of the sun and of war, not a mortal man.

The shirts are sold through Amazon Merch on Demand in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan.
